Why is Proper Storage Important?

When masking materials are stored under proper conditions, their service life is significantly extended and your operating costs are reduced. Improper storage leads to material deformation, premature aging and production disruptions.

Storage of Silicone Masking Products

Temperature Conditions

Silicone products should be stored between +5°C and +35°C. Excessively hot environments cause softening in silicone, while excessive cold causes hardening.

Light Protection

Keep away from direct sunlight. UV rays can cause degradation in silicone over time.

Humidity Control

Store in dry environment. Humid environments can lead to mold.

Pressure and Weight

Do not stack plugs on top of each other. Permanent deformation may occur. Prefer boxed or shelf storage.

Cleaning After Use

Cleaning Silicone Plugs

1. Mechanically scrape off paint residue
2. Wash with warm soapy water
3. Rinse and let dry
4. Store after completely dry

For Sticky Paint Residue

Appropriate solvents can be used for stubborn paint residue. However, make sure the solvent does not damage the silicone. Test on a small piece first for testing purposes.

Maintenance of Vinyl PVC Caps

Vinyl caps are generally single-use, but can be used several times with proper use:

• Do not force when putting on and taking off
• Do not contact with sharp tools
• Do not expose to excessive heat (max 80°C)

Manage inventory with first in first out principle. Ensure old stocks are used first.

Label products in each batch and track expiration dates.

Visual Inspection

Check your stocks at regular intervals. Separate deformed or damaged products.
